Possibly heading to Germany on an unaccompanied 1-year Tour of Duty. I'm NG. Do I get BAH from home or OHA in Germany?

When I deployed to Iraq I got BAH for where my home of record I assume this would be the same

If you are an activated reservist and the military says your family stays home, then your home stateside will get taken care of and you will receive housing in Germany. Probably not OHA but a place to sleep each night.

If it’s like Korea Sir you will get BAH for where your family is since you are going unaccompanied.

Do you have dependents that will be staying stateside? If yes, you will receive Family Separation Housing (FSH) pay at the WITH DEPENDENT rate for your current home in the United States (where your dependents will be staying). You will ALSO receive OHA at the WITHOUT DEPENDENT rate for where you are assigned (unless you live in the barracks in Germany, then you will not get the OAH, but you will still receive the FSH). So, yes, you essentially get two sets of BAH.

If you have no dependents, then you will just get OHA at the WITHOUT DEPENDENTS rate for your duty location in Germany.
