I had to fight with my school to get it right with the VA. It took awhile, but they righted it.

"oh yeah, I am trying to pull a fast one by getting deployed, that's it, you figured me out"

Good luck-talk with your school, they should fix it. Does your school have a VA rep? Most schools do and they may be able to assist, depending on what the problem is. I may be able to give more insight or assistance if you want to send me an email with the specifics. By the time I got out of the hospitol it was too late. My dr. wrote a letter explains that I wasn't able to attend school. I sent that and an apeal form DA#? A few months later they informed me I didn't have to repay the money to the VA. I did lose a semester of school form my GI bill though. You have limited time to deal with this. If you can't find a Service Officer - contact me here. Not very happy with the whole situation. They changed my enrollment status 3 times in 6 months for the same semester. I went from owing 4k to 300$ to 3k. I am currently fighting my way through all the paperwork. Getting in contact with the VA or just asking a simple question is painful. And I was told by the VA they can't advise me on how to correct this.

The VA has been more helpful than the school.
