Post military relocation, thinking eastern Tennessee https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/post-military-relocation-thinking-eastern-tennessee

I am in the last year or so of my military career. My family is thinking about retiring to the TN area....currently looking at Johnson City, Kingsport, Greeneville, Knoxville/Maryville areas. Is there anyone in from these areas? What kind of personal input can you provide? I have lots of info from the internet, but that is not the same as personal input... Thank you! It is also not far from the North Carolina mountains if you like to hike. CPT Zachary Brooks Thu, 29 Jan 2015 10:31:37 -0500 2015-01-29T10:31:37-05:00 Response by COL Jean (John) F. I'm a University of Alabama graduate and Knoxville is the home of the University of Tennessee). Very reasonable cost of living, no state income tax, a lot to see and do in the area, etc., etc.

Loved it...

I'll be glad to tell you more and answer any questions you may have if you send me a message. We can exchange e-mail addresses to make it easier. I am traveling but can discuss it more next week. COL Jean (John) F. B.
