What is the REAL difference between the two products? My HD dealership is of course pushing the SE Race Tuner as it's an HD part, but what's different about it?

What are the pros and cons of each?

Mainly, I want to know which part the bikers recommend.

I'm still not sure Brother! I keep on hearing equally good/bad things about both race tuners (SE and PCV)! The other mods (Big Bore Kit, intake, exhaust) and a dyno tune I'm going to do regardless of which race tuner I end up getting.

I personally went with screaming eagle on my first bike (2002 Dyna Wide Glide) on my second bike, I am still waiting until I could afford it, I am open to new ideas. Thanks

Power commander piggy backs off the computer....it's an add-on. The screamin' eagle burns the computer....so u don't need it on the bike. Go with the race tuner - less problems all around :)

See??? That's what I'm talking about. Some people are singing praises to the SE race tuner and others are equally adamant about the PCV!

The year if the make matters. Last I heard the power commander would not work correctly on the 2012 and newer bikes although they may have fixed that problem by now. The power commander comes with everything you need to tweek your own bike. The se doesn't. Of course if you don't know what you are doing you can do a lot of damage by tweeking so I don't recommend doing it on your own. I personally only use the se, it works well with the bike and doesn't violate the warrantee.

My Road King is the 2011 model. I also bought it used (and since paid it off) so I don't have a warranty to worry about.
I too have heard that about the PCV (don't mess around with the mapping if you don't know what you're doing). Choices, choices... What is a biker to do??? LOL...
