The Paris attacks have put everyone on edge. It changes the entire philosophy of ISIS. I don't think, if they are planning another attack, they will let this one get cold, and then plan another attack. After a few months have gone by, tragedies like Paris, become not forgotten about, but not at the top of the list. ISIS knows this and I think uses it to an advantage. Every time after an attack like this, questions are asked, why the security was so lax. The news said investigators are trying to figure out how the terrorist communicated, to carry off multiple, coordinated attacks. My thoughts are, no,electronics, except maybe a watch was used to communicate. All the separate groups had to do, was know what time they were to syart their attacks, and do it.

Presidential candidates from both parties reacted to the deadly attacks in Paris on Friday that left at least 129 dead.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said that the United States should respond aggressively and shouldn't be hampered by a concern for killing civilians.

"We must immediately recognize that our enemy is not ‘violent extremism.’ It is the radical Islamism that has declared jihad against the west," he said in a statement. "It will not be appeased by outreach or declarations of tolerance. It will not be deterred by targeted airstrikes with zero tolerance for civilian casualties, when the terrorists have such utter disregard for innocent life."

The Texas senator also said that the United States should immediately place limits on the number of refugees it took in.

"We need to immediately declare a halt to any plans to bring refugees that may have been infiltrated by ISIS to the United States," he said. "We must make it crystal clear that affiliation with ISIS and related terrorist groups brings with it the undying enmity of America -- that it is, in effect, signing your own death warrant.”

This is shameful in my book. Only in America can presidential candidates parley a foreign nation's tragedy into an energizer for their campaigns. Even the French have LOUDLY criticized Republicans for politicizing their national tragedy.
The worst thing? If this happened on such a scale here and a foreign nation used it as a political springboard, we as a nation would be pissed!!

I ignore comments made after the attack. The truly instructive comments came before. As when President Obama declared ISIS "contained" a day or two before the attack. Hillary Clinton defended the President's position even after the attack. Bernie Sanders thinks that Global Warming has unbalanced the terrorists and caused them to attack. Virtually every Republican candidate stressed the need to stop the President's plan to bring the attackers to the United States. Sorry, I haven't heard from any others such as Libertarian, Green, Peace and Freedom...

Like any job interview, my hope with all presidential candidates is that they can prove (based on their past performance) that they are good leaders with high integrity & sound decision makers. I do like to hear their plans for confronting terrorism, but I get tired hearing (from both sides) the armchair quarterback scenarios of "what I would've done".
