Sergeants that didn't know how to conduct radio communication properly. Sergeants that couldn't PMCS vehicles. Sergeants that couldn't put together a New style ruck, or IOTV. <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><p>We used to have a MOS knowledge test (e.g. SQT {Skill Qualification Test} and then replaced by the SDT {Self Development Test|) which contributed to your promotion points.</p><p>There has been some discussions over the last couple years about bringing one of these tests (SQT or SDT) back, or something very similar.  Basic knowledge is discussed at many of the boards, but the requirement is basically a question/answer format as opposed to a hands on type competitive board (e.g. Soldier of the month/NCO of the month competitions).</p>
