But it was new to me and I want to share what I learned about LinkedIn and Facebook (and basically all social media sites) today - you can see where you are still logged in. I thought I would see the computer that I was currently logged into, my desktop. But boy was I shocked when I saw I was still logged in 36 places on LinkedIn and about 24 on Facebook over the last several months, from computers in different parts of the world! How crazy is that?! I am walking with my head down in shame! Did I really forget to log out of all of those computers?

I work almost every day in public venues and private companies, and I seem to not be logging out. Well, thanks to Steven Fernandes from LinkedIn, who posted this originally, I have now learned how to remotely log out of all those accounts, and I would like to share those steps with you:

From your active session's page, you can see how many sessions you're currently signed into.
https://www.linkedin.com/settings/sessions
https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=security&section=sessions&view

On that page, you can also review all devices that are signed in to your LinkedIn/Facebook account, when you last signed in, what browser was used, the IP address, and the city and state the login occurred.

To view your LinkedIn sessions:
1.Hover over your profile photo on the top right of your homepage and select Privacy & Settings.
(You may be prompted to sign in.)
2.Click See where you've logged in in the top section under Your active sessions.

To sign out of a session:
1.Click Sign out to the right of the session you'd like to end.
2.Click Sign out to confirm.

To sign out of every active session (except your current one):
1.Click Sign out of all these sessions at the top of your list.
2.Click Sign out to confirm.

To view your Facebook sessions:
1. Go to your settings
2. Click the security tab
3. Scroll down to where you're logged in.

To sign out of every active session (except your current one):
1. Click end activity (for each one or end all activity)

If you are logged into sessions in places you don't recognize, consider changing your password!

Please share this with anyone who uses social media networks! I couldn't find the same option on Rally Point...

Also, please share how many sessions you are/were logged into in comments! Thanks! Properly log out of LinkedIn, Facebook, and any other social media networks. 2014-09-22T12:11:08-04:00 SSG Pete Fleming 250685

Now you may already know this. He surely thought that closing the browser or logging off of the computer would log him out, but it didn't. I emailed him from his own email address to let him know what he had done. That was probably a pretty creepy email to get... Response by SPC Elijah J. Henry, MBA made Oct 23 at 2015 10:30 AM 2015-10-23T10:30:54-04:00 2015-10-23T10:30:54-04:00 2014-09-22T12:11:08-04:00
