it is a tool to be used against us. i was a police officer for 15 years before the department decided that diagnosis made me a danger. Then, the same Army which had denied its existence decided it made me violent. Eventually they raised my rating to cause me to to be unable to work at all. I didn't wait for them to realize what they had just said, took my 100% and ran.

I taught at Penn State for a few years. We did experience a sniper incident wherein several persons were killed. This person had no military background whatsoever. And over my 5 decades of clinical experience and my clinical research on combat trauma those w/ CPTSD combined with psychoactive subs are much more likely to commit suicide.
