Waco shooting
Military records show Rodriguez was a Marine on active duty from 1969 and 1973 and received the Purple Heart, given to those wounded or killed in action. He also received a Navy commendation medal and other awards.

There are too many opinions and not enough facts released yet for me to make a decision on this type of thing. You have the information being released by the cops. You have information being released by the bikers. Both are pointing blame away from themselves. While not all MC Clubs are "dangerous, organized crime" elements, there are a few that ARE, no matter what they preach. I have been around a number of them that are just family friendly recreational groups.... Could this have been done differently? Maybe. Video footage available from Dash Cams? Bystanders? security tape footage? Video does not lie....or not easily.... Autopsy reports, ballistic reports.....everything will come together in the end.... I just hope that regardless of how it is presented is in a non-bias strait forward way. Justice where justice is required. Everyone involved made a decision to be there. IF any of these people were unjustly killed, OR validated killed, decisions were made. I will withhold judgement until the facts come out. I am just pleased that this has not resulted in Missouri and Maryland type riots....if nothing else, speaks to the nature of bikers compared to certain other "groups" of thugs.....

People make a choice about who to associate with. From what I understand, these groups were not the types that good things come from.

There are great folks that have served, and not so great folks. I can only judge this particular veteran by the records which showed he served honorably, and the company he chose to keep, which didn't seem so honorable.

Was it necessary? No. But people made choices and let things get out of hand because their "honor" was at stake and someone chose to be in some "territory" that they felt was exclusively theirs.

I would point out that while the disturbance was supposed to be between 2 or 3 clubs, there were many others there....and many of them are either military backed (Leathernecks are a Marine Corp based group) or church/religious groups. There are a couple others that are family oriented MCs also. I have not looked hard enough into it to see which group this individual was part of, but we can not judge all because of a few.
I ride independent because I want to. For others, an MC brings them something.

Yes, I am referring to the two or three clubs, specifically. Not all motorcycle clubs. Just like everything, there is good and bad. I would think that most people showing up knew of the trouble brewing between those few "bad" clubs, though.

As always, too many innocent people get hurt. I have read reports of "bikers" running to help those that were hurt. This guy could have been one of them. You still need to watch how and where you associate with groups and others.

What do you mean by "was this all necessary?".

Was it necessary for LEO to shoot back after bullets started flying left and right?

Of course.

Was it necessary for these idiots to shoot at each other, at LEO, and at innocent patrons that were in the area, because of some patch in a jacket?

Of course not.
