Short answer, NO! "Why?", you may ask. Simple. While Starbucks would love to sell their "girly" coffee on bases around the world, praying on unsuspecting service members and civilian workers, their corporate position on donations is not very supportive of Veterans. While they have donated millions of dollars to the G, L, TG movement and the like, they adamantly refuse to donate to organizations such as Wounded Warrior Project, Operation Home Front and the like. The corporate stance is that they do not wish to support war, acts of war or any show of military force. The government should take care of Veterans, not them. We knew the risks of death and injury when we enlisted.<br /><br />To me, they are saying, "Thank you for serving. Sorry you lost two legs and an arm. Maybe you'll be more careful next time, but sorry, you're not our problem. One of note is the community Starbucks on Fort Benning Putting coffee shops in the neighborhoods is a great way to build community and make the on-post living experience a little more enjoyable.<br /><br />Starbucks (like Delta Airlines) often gets hooked by these internet movements that claim they do not support veterans or they are disrespectful etc. I have never had that experience, mainly because the communities in which I have lived have been exceptionally supportive. They're TAD personnel trained to be baristas by Starbucks using real Starbucks espresso beans. It was nice to get a frap or a latte now and then on deployment.
