Question regarding PDRL and surgery?

So I was granted PDRL at 90% over a year ago due to a few small injuries and the main injury which is a bilateral hip injury (70%). My question is, if I'm getting this surgery, which is an elective surgery, to try and help deal with the pain better is there a chance my rating gets lowered? I was also trying to see if PDRL gets put on a reevaluation list or not as well but could not find any information?

Speaking as a long term pain that will never go away type, I'd gladly give the money back if I didn't hurt every day. Reduction of benefits is chump change when it comes to pain. It gets in the way of everything and more so as you age. Focus on aging well and pain free if you can.

It is possible that your rating gets lowered if your condition improves.
However, in order for VA to know that would mean that you are being checked out again. What matters here from a VA angle is whether or not your condition(s) is rated temporary or static. If it is temporary, you can expect them to order a reevaluation some time in the next few years to determine your current disabling rating from it.
