The problem I see is that Canada has had lax immigration policies. People who arrive and seeking asylum and refugee status would be allowed in and would be allowed free reign of the country. Many would then apply for asylum here in the United States while waiting in Canada. I think the problem is that over the years they saw how we did things and didn't see as much of a threat to their country and way of life because they weren't as involved in global problems as we were which allowed them a bit of a break from reprisals and attacks that would sometimes plague our citizens which some were told that if they were in trouble to claim to be Canadian.

The freedom and relaxed nature of Canada made the attacks possible. Freedom is a great thing but even here we had a relaxed posture when it came to security prior to the Sept 11, 2001 attacks. Unfortunately at some point the world likes to remind us that there are dangerous people who abuse the freedom and trust given to the people and attempt to destroy the way of life that free people enjoy. We should continue to aid Canada in any way possible and hope that we both can find ways to reduce the chance that others will attempt their own attacks against the people.Response by Cpl Ray Fernandez made Oct 23 at 2014 8:20 PM2014-10-23T20:20:31-04:002014-10-23T20:20:31-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member291455

Now it seems like its happening here LTC Private RallyPoint Member

http://nydn.us/1sUktUW
