Rallypoint community... CaC on a MAC? Who knows the quickest easiest way? Thanks in advance!

Having a lot of trouble getting my CaC to run on my MAC. Would appreciate any advice!

It is actually kind of complicated or at least was for me. You have to download all of the certificates and add them to your key chain. I have had trouble after doing this and leaving the key chain open while trying to use it works best. Also have you downloaded the latest operating system for MAC? It seems to work a lot better now with that one. Good Luck

I posted this as a response to a comment below. Here is a copy/paste of what I intended to post here...

It took forever for me to find something that would work for Mac. Part of the reason was that I kept looking for a free software that would work. For whatever reason, I was never able to, but I did find a paid software that works wonders!

Also, I found a program that installed nicely on my Mac that allows me to fill in and sign .xfdl files! I use it with the pkard program, and I haven't had any problems yet!

Using CAC on a MAC worked great at one point. A few months passed and then Mac users needed to use firefox. A few more months passed and then Mac users needed an app to use the card. Then Mac users needed something else and then eventually, my patience for lost productivity reached it's end and I installed Parallels. Assuming that Soldiers are also enrolled in college, search for Parallels for students. Subsequently, look up OEM windows for use with only one computer. Now I can run office and all common access card related things without issue and I don't have to restart. Alternatively, you can use Bootcamp to restart into windows and work. Either way, my method doesn't directly answer your question but lets you use the same laptop to work.

Step 1) Buy an SRC3310 card reader on Amazon ($12)
Step 2) Buy the PKard software from a company named Thursby ($30)

The nice thing about the card reader is that it requires no certificates/drivers/etc. It is a plug and play reader. Also, I recommend using Safari vs. Google Chrome. Enjoy!
