Here at RallyPointers Anonymous we are trying to help those that may need it. As we have seen with some here sleep has been moved a step lower in the Priorities of Work, RallyPoint being number one of course. There are many signs of this. For example if you have over one million points or have got over 100,000 in a month. Have you ever wondered if you have spent too much time on RallyPoint? If you have answered yes to any of these you might have.

10. When you forget what facebook is.
9. You use your DA Photo as your Profile picture.
8. You see the influence list in your pay grade as a hit list.
7. You significant other created an civilian account just to be able to talk with you.
6. You went to RPx.
5. As soon as you read an news article you post a question about on RallyPoint.
4. You have more connections on RallyPoint than Facebook.
3. You submit a 4 page recommendation list to the RallyPoint staff on how to improve the site.
2. You use motivational quotes in your professional email you found on a thread.
and number one
1. You know who salutes a 1LT!

I've stopped my Soldiers from doing correspondence courses and SSD and now make them build their influence score by 1,000 points a week or face corrective training.
I've also given them access to my account to respond because I can't keep up with all the notifications anymore.

I've seen a ton of people here on RP that are described by your point #5: "As soon as you read an news article you post a question about on RallyPoint." RP is so big now, and so many people use it during the day, that it's almost impossible to be the first one to post about breaking news issues here on RP. You have to be lightning fast and also have a bit of luck in seeing the news just after it was released.

I can say I know I've been on here so much that I think CPT Laurie H. probably cringes when she sees a message or email from me with screenshots and the like. Also my phone contacts is growing with RP members. When I'm not on RP I get texts from fellow members telling me to look at certain threads. LOL.
Also when driving to Chicago, I found myself at rest stops checking RP out on my phone. I also had a couple awesome RPmembers who checked up on me while I was on the road alone to make sure I was ok. I definitely know #1, #2, #3, #7, #8, #10.

this is a funny list i realized on was on RP to much when:

1. I wanted a RP coffee cup
2. My wife tells me to get off RP and come to bed
3. When my phone vibrates my wife knows it is RP notification.
4. I am hardly ever on facebook these days.
5. I look at my position going up and down and im like i need 4 days off of work so i can get it up higher lol.

Landing page is set to RP. I check my RP notifications before my email. I refer all my veteran buddies to RP. My wife thinks I have a secret RP gf. I'm waiting for a RP tee-shirt, and bumper sticker....anyone?

While I still use Facebook, I only play games on it, mostly. I am mostly 1,2,4, and 5. I also have the app when I am not at home. Homer Simpson always reminds me when I have a notification from RP!

Whats facebook?
Im still stuck on myspace!
Never used either really. Got interested in RP after a post I saw on the rare time I go on faceplant by an XO I had in the infantry osut company I had a couple years back. It was an RP repost. Been hooked since I saw it a month ago. Funny thing is, hes not on RP!
Also, kids late for school and im late for work, once thankfully cause I woke up at 0530 reading posts finishing at 0745 when wife asks what time it is.
On sick leave and spent 5 hours in bed reading/responding to posts
And this other time......sh.t, the current time is bedtime!!!!!!

I like it because it brings back memories of being in the service. Plus all ranks are pretty much equal on this site also vetrans,active and reserve from every branch can connect' making all of us part of a family that have and are still serving our country.

After reading many replies, I understand many of you have no idea how to survive!

At first my wife thought the internet was not needed. Then she discovered she could shop in the States there and have it sent to my APO. NATO closed the HQ, I lost my APO. Then the wife discovered Facebook, Britain's Got Talent and Youtube. See people, get your other half occupied on the next, then you have no worries! Just keep a hand on your credit card.
