This also applies to Officers, so if you are assigned to a location where your Leaders has a screw lose and you want to get away prior to losing out on promotion opportunities - check Special Assignment Opportunities. Take on a Special Assignment where NO ONE wants to go (12 to 18 month Assignment), 45 days prior to the end of this assignment - check the board again for an assignment everyone would like to go. D.O.D will honor your request for this 12 to 18 month Assignment. 45 days prior to the end of this second Special Assignment, request to go where NO ONE wants to go. This will be honored.
