Re-enlisted for option 2 , is there anyway to waiver my stabiliziation and get orders elsewhere?

Reenlisted Opt. 2 back in June so I could decide what my next step in the Army was. Ended up getting a deployment to Korea.. not necessarily ideal , would rather get a combat deployment in. Just wondering what are my options as waiving my stabilization and calling branch for orders to Ft. Drum. Not a huge deal if I cant just wondering.

It's a simple memorandum that your career counselor processes to remove your stabilization.

Awesome. What are the odds of choice of orders given? Am i able to ask branch for specific stations ? Thanks in advance.

SSG (Join to see) no you can only waive your stabilization. Once you call your branch you're another E5 11B, very likely going to go to recruiting. But, yes you can certainly ask branch.

Dude, the normal rotation back from a full tour of duty in Korea is always Drum. A short deployment maybe not but calling branch and requesting it will most likely be granted. I would finish the stabilization period and then go to Drum. No need to burn a bridge with CoC on an outgoing NCOER is they are still expecting your to be on UMR after Korea.

Infantrymen don’t get stationed in Korea so it doesn’t feed you to drum at the end of the tour. They deploy there for like 6-9 months then return to home station.
