I was wondering what the chancing of being able to re-enlist after EASing and attending college for a few years. If I was to enter the same branch would I retain my rank and would there be any additional requirements for re-enlisting besides an RE-1 code. If I was to Lateral Move into a new MOS in a new branch would I retain rank or would there be a reduction, if so why and what are the stipulations? Would I have to retake the ASVAB or would they keep my current records for that?

All excellent responses have been posted. If you are interested in re-enlisting it appears you are also interested in making a career. If you have obtained a bachelors degree then I would suggest you talk to an officer recruiter of all branches of service you may be interested in. Pay and benefits as an "0" can be more beneficial for yourself and your family as a careerist, and your future retirement.

SPC (Join to see) I know of friends that came in as an E-4 with an degree, go to boot camp and then OSC school. The sure answer would be the recruiter and some research for the branch your trying to go in.

As a former recruiter it really depends on the business rules at the time. At the beginning of the drawdown the only a few MOSs would be accepted to active duty and no reclass. You had a better chance if you had airborne. Army Reserve was easy though. It really depends on if we continue on a drawdown or not. No reASVAB just rephysical and lots of paperwork
