You may get your dream job if there are shortages in that MOS. I know a person (not me) that beat a QMP board because as a 1990s SSG with 19 years he was flagged for reenlistment. He did have to get JAG involved since that was the only reason given by the board. He was an excellent soldier. Going back in is something that is very tempting! I know this is about how to get back in but you also have all the tools to make it while your out. Keep grinding no matter what you decide or what the outcome is your going to be able to make it with or without the army. Not saying anything bad about the army I just know if I can make it you can to my guy. Your BASD is a calculation of your Active service. If you served 4 years your new BASD will 4 years earlier than the day you swear in. Your DIEMS will stay the same always. No paperwork error will have you as an 8 year E4, when the MEPS does mess up they simply change your BASD to the date you reentered, you’re in no danger of hitting RCP or being barred. You will immediately get barred if you didn’t complete your SSD on your prior enlistment once your BASD is correct. <br />SGT is not automatic, not sure where you heard that. Who are you hearing rumors from? The jobs that are open will depend on what HRC has available. Get with recruiter and see. If you have not signed anything make sure that when you do its what you think you&#39;ll like to do. Also how is receiving SGT automatic? They are allowing you to come back in with (P) status?
