Re Enter or don't go? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/re-enter-or-don-t-go <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am currently in DEP, as a re-entry I was told I get what is available. The only thing available was 11X. I am 29 years old and don&#39;t plan on doing any schools in to excel in that MOS. I am having second thoughts about re-joining as I don&#39;t think I will be suited for 11X. I am married as well. With infantry day to day life being all over the place it wouldn&#39;t be fair to my wife. I am wondering if anyone has any options or suggestions if there is any. I know the army looks at re-entry as your like to get back in. However is it worth it? I want to serve my country but I also want to be fair to myself and my wife. I don&#39;t know if my body or my wife would be able to handle 11X as this a more demanding position in the army. I am due to ship out in a month and have not sworn in yet. Thank you for anyone who can help. As much as recruiters will tell you that there is no quota to get people in, or get them to a specific MOS, there are. You don&#39;t stay a recruiter without putting up the numbers. You will need to think about exactly what you want to do. Do you want to go back to the your previous MOS? Do you want a new MOS? Are you okay with the Army/Recruiter telling you &#39;this is the only option&#39;? If 11X (I believe the X designates SF)/11B is the only thing available, and the Army is the only branch you want, will it be worth it to you? If not, you may have to decide on going into another service that will provide other opportunities, the opportunities you are looking for. Once back in and assigned to a unit you can apply for an Active Reserve position. There are also lots of one to two year AD tours you can sign up for as well. Or just do your weekends and see were your career takes you.
