Reaching out to any fellow 68C's stationed in South Korea. A brief rundown of what life is like would be much appreciated!

With almost absolute certainty you will be assigned to Brian Allgood Army Community Hospital, also known as 121st CSH. I was stationed there in 2012 as my first duty station as a 68C. As a PFC you can expect that you will MOST likely work on one of the three "floors" there, WICU (labor & delivery), Med Surg or ICU, especially since you are PFC and this is most likely your first nursing assignment.
BAACH/121CSH is located in Seoul, South Korea on Yongsan Garrison. If you are single or coming unaccompanied you will live in the barracks. When I was there the barracks were located behind the PX.
What life is like - you will work your shift work and also be assigned a position as where you will be when the unit sets up the CSH during field exercises. The tempo in 121 can pick up significantly when you are approaching one of the two large annual exercises. You will be expected to work your hours in the hospital and possibly do what is needed to prepare for the CSH.
121st CSH was a challenging duty assignment but a rewarding one. The 121st CSH is the only dual mission MTF in the Army. That means they are the only unit that operates a fully functioning hospital AND is a CSH.
Enjoy your time there, if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
disclaimer - there is always a chance you could go somewhere else, but again, as I said, with almost certainty you will go to 121 and be assigned on one of the floors. Assignments like that are typical because as a new nurse they want to get you on the floor to establish your skill set before moving you to somewhere like Same Day Surgery or something. But, odder things have happened and if there is a critical shortage somewhere and they need someone, that's where you will go! Good luck!

SSG Tune,
This was a big help to myself as well as a few of my classmates that will be making the journey in the next few months. Thank you for taking the time to answer!

I'm at BAACH/121 right now, I can second what SSG Tune is saying. New 68Cs work mainly on the wards here but also have opportunities in the ED and clinics. So your experience can be different. You'll be paid a bit more than your friends in the states if you're living in the barracks, so that's always a good plus!
