Received my duty station on Army Career Tracker. It states Fort Bragg, but no unit. What unit might I possibly be going to as an 88m?

Former 11B reclassing to 88m and graduating in 2 weeks. My ACT states fort bragg as my duty station. However it doesn't state an actual unit yet. I filled out the 5434 and section 3 has yet to be filled out. On my ERB it just states the replacement unit ill be inprocessing at. What units might I possibly be going to as an 88m at Fort Bragg?

You’re always going to go to a reception company when you PCS. You’ll never know your exact unit unless your SOF or have pinpoint orders(you obtained a job in a unit before you PCS’d your losing duty station)

Literally anywhere that needs a truck driver. More than likely one of the BCTs if you’re airborne.

88M likely a BSB. If your airborne you’ll most likely go to an 82nd BSB. If not probably 82nd sustainment

There are too many units at Bragg to list all the possible ones you could go to as an 88M. Whatever replacement unit it says is the BDE you will go to.

Definitely not USASOC. I’ve never saw an 88M in special ops. Lots of 88N though. More than likely an 18th ABC or 82nd unit. Good luck! Enjoy Bragg. Stay away from the ghettos.

I’m still wondering why a 11 Bravo would reclass to 88M? What ever the reason, good luck. I hope you find what you were missing in the Infantry.

Too many BSBs and SUS BDEs on Bragg to pinpoint. 3rd ESC is strong probability.

There is absolutely no way anyone on here can answer your question. Once your sponsor reach out to you, you’ll find out at that time. Fort Bragg is a large installation with MANY units and as an 88M you can be assigned to any one of them. Good luck to you....

Look Gabe, in my day every BN in the 82nd and most of the Corps units-(not counting Trans units) had an 88M in the motor pool.

You are a truck driver. Nearly EVERY unit in the military uses or had truck drivers on their roster of personnel. The list is just too vast to pinpoint where you might go. You could be anything from an aviation unit to a supply unit to a support brigade.

That's a truck driver, isn't it? There are trucks at Ft. Bragg. I envied you. Airborn school, Air assault school, and ranger school; not to mention Special Forces school. Repelling down helicopter, jumping out of the air plane with a damn find shoot rigged by your an initial buddy verified by jump master and master rigger. What not to like about? Don't mention 5 mile run every other week. Since you are a driver, you don't have to worry about road march, ... much. What's not to like? Ain't no sense to looking down. Ain't no discharge on the ground. Look around and enjoy the view.

I got stuck on the Bradley for most of my career. The unit keep saying no money to send Soldiers to school. Can't jump the Bradley out of the plane; therefore, no jump school for Mikey. By the time M becomes B, my back was messed up from roll over during exercise.

126th composite truck company, 189th CSSB, 82nd sustainment brigade. That's where I was sent as an 88m at Bragg. Alot of 88ms go there.

This is because you will be signing-in to the 82nd Replacement. This unit is on the corner of Reilly Road and Bastogne, walking distance to the Soldier Support Center. You will be in this unit for a week (at least) while you inprocess Fort Bragg, and you will learn the history of the 82nd Airborne. Here's a hint: look at the briefing times and places. Sometimes you can knock out several briefings at a time if they line-up. Some are only given once or twice per week, so make sure you get to those, otherwise you will stay at Replacement another week so you can attend those briefings. Don't screw around during your week there, do what you're told, and get to your new unit. Oh and if you don't have jump boots yet, get some. Quickly. Boomerang's (off post and) up Honeycutt Road sells used boots pretty inexpensively, and will put a mirror shine on them for a small added charge.

Once you complete your inprocessing tasks, you will receive your pinpoint orders to your unit. As others have said, there are too many units to list where an 88M might be assigned. Basically, any unit that has a HumVee or LMTV on its books will most likely have 88M slots. That's pretty much every unit on post.

It's also dependent upon your DA Form 348 and your ability to leverage the most unique vehicles.
