I checked into this. They gave me the general answer of: Check w/ a local recruiter to get the process started.

Well, I already have & all we're waiting on now is permission from the Guard bureau to get me to MEPs (again...) to get a med waiver.

Just had a former troop come out the the recruiting office. He is super stoked, they said to expect it to take up to 6 months

My systems and personnel file have been jacked up off and on for the last 14 years after I came back. It took 2 years to stop receiving 2 different LESs. Took a rank reduction from E-6 to E-4 and the system wouldn’t issue me a yet date for testing for SSgt because my contract issued a waiver and allowed me to maintain my 7 level as my CAFSC. Make sure to get it all squared away early. Theoretically, I retire in just a little while. We’ll see how that works out.

Kind of comical my job is listed on there. As they couldnt wait to shed anybody and everybody when I was in. Now have 27 years of experiance in the same field.
