Civilian side, I work as a Network Engineer and have a few Cisco/CompTIA certifications. I was wondering if it was possible to request an MOS-Q from the signal school using certifications and work experience. Look up the requirements for the MOS you want under the ACASP program. You can find the requirements in the DA Pam 611-21 Chapter 10C. If you meet those requirements, which for IT is usually several years of verifiable job experience plus some education, you can contact the MOS proponent and request a Memorandum stating that you meet the requirements for the MOS. <br />After that, the reclass requirements are based on your units needs and policies since you’re Reserve Component. But it doesnt hurt to ask. However, you can ask for the schooling or auto reclass if your MOS is selected for.
