Reclassing to 35G. What can I expect as prior service for AIT? Do they have weekends off and would they care if I stay in an apt off post? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/reclassing-to-35g-what-can-i-expect-as-prior-service-for-ait-do-they-have-weekends-off-and-would-they-care-if-i-stay-in-an-apt-off-post <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I ask because I am planning on bringing my baby with me along with his grandma (husband is currently deployed). I am planning on renting an apt off post that I would pay for myself, but wanted to know if this would cause problems. When my husband reclassed to 35F in Huachuca I visited him and he stayed off post for a few days with me and it wasn&#39;t a big deal but again it was only a few days. Also, he had Sundays off, but didn&#39;t always have Saturdays off so I wasn&#39;t sure if that would be the case with the 35G school as well. Tue, 13 Feb 2018 12:49:46 -0500 Reclassing to 35G. And you will get weekends off. As far as them letting you live off post they won’t let you. When I first got there, that wasn&#39;t a thing except for run day....then after change of command it became a thing. When I was there you guys didn&#39;t&#39;t have to have a battle buddy everywhere you went. It&#39;s much easier to get with the instructor before or after class if you need extra help.... nearly impossible for AIT soldiers, though a couple really would do the extra mile or two for us. The course is not terribly hard, but easy to mess up. You won&#39;t be under an AIT squad leader in class... just under the senior MOS-T. Sometimes NCO MOS-Ts have to lead the formations during lunchtime. Defac wasn&#39;t too bad. I was one of the last AIT soldiers that was allowed to shop at the commissary and order food during the week. I don&#39;t know if that stuff applies to MOS-Ts, I kinda doubt it. Yes, you will have weekends and training holidays. Just depends if you have cq/staff duty. I don&#39;t remember seeing MOS-Ts on staff duty. I am trying to think of a good number for you to call, but I would look up A Co 305 at ft Wegotcha for the S1 or staff duty number. You won&#39;t have homework for the most part! As a MOS-T with dependents you should be getting BAH and allowed to live off post. Most of the MOS-T’s have an apt off post if their dependents are with them. I’m not sure about your formation times but you will not be with IET soldiers ever, only when you’re in class and for some pt formations, other than that you’re pretty much free and treated like permanent party because the course is 6 months.
