I did however like the Tuskegee Airmen better. It actually is supposed to end up being a trilogy, so I guess we will see how it goes. I would say I would give the movie a 7. Meeting a Tuskegee Airman at a reunion of USS Anzio in Norfolk, VA gets a 10. He was one of the last to go through the training and was never deployed into combat, but he made it and earned the title. From what I read, the movie only touched a few of the discriminatory issues that the Red Tails had to endure. It is amazing that a single aviator ever even graduated from Tuskeegee. I'm sure the director felt too much background info would have made the movie a documentary........ 7/10 SFC Mark Merino Thu, 25 Sep 2014 15:17:03 -0400 2014-09-25T15:17:03-04:00 Response by LTC Paul Labrador made Sep 25 at 2014 3:19 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/red-tails-the-movie?n=255477&urlhash=255477 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I gave it a 5. With the big budget that this money had available, I expected a better movie. The older (and lower budget) "Tuskegee Airmen" (that Cuba Gooding Jr was ALSO in) was IMHO a better story.
