Reenlisting into Air National Guard. What should I do? I am leaning towards Security Forces. Any opinions from Active or Guard members?

Security Forces has a lot of infantry-like skills, I made the same transition and loved it.

SGT Private RallyPoint Member I would definitely go w/ Security Forces (I'm not biased, or anything...lol). What you said in MSG Private RallyPoint Member 's post is true, SF has a more Army feel, whereas, from my experience, many other AFSCs are more business-like comparatively. Outside of that, the AFSCs that are closer to an Army mindset would be the SpecOps guys, I figure.

Thanks for all the responses. I know that this was a broad question. I was in the Army for 13 years. All of that as an Infantryman. I did work with the AF for about 2 years doing SF stuff. So I am familiar with the job. I have been out for about for about 6 years and if Im going back in I want to make sure its a good fit. I would hate to get into an MOS that was to easy and wish I was somewhere else, but on the other hand I don't want to work to hard.

Ok so I have been doing some looking at Jobs that I like and qualify for. I think I have narrowed down my options to 5 Jobs. I know they are all different. I would like to learn a skill I can use in the real world or do a lot of travel/deployments.
Aircraft Loadmaster 1A2X1
Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) 1T0X1
Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration 3E1X1
Security Forces 3P0X1
Education and Training 3S2X1
Special Vehicle Maintenance 2T3X2

ANG SF is a great career, we get a lot of TDYs to some pretty cool places. I guess a lot depends in your leadership though.
