Reporting to Fort sill 434 HQ as a turtle before I go to Drill Sergeant School. Any advice?

Learn the modules before you leave at minimum the big three. Position of attention, rest position at the hault, and the hand salute.

What SSG Davis said and I would also brush up on PRT. I went thru last October and most people received no-go's for modules and PRT. Good luck to you.

Good luck on your school. I don't have any advice for you on the Driil Sgt school but take a couple pair of good running shoes and be careful running PT in the morning. Tarantula spider (sp maybe) will be out and when you step on one it will be nasty and slippery.

School is the easy part. Once you graduate the real test comes. Always remember what it's like to be a PVT yourself and don't let the hat and badge give you super powers. Your still just a Soldier yourself.

Learn as much as possible. Take advantage of the time before school. I have a soldier at Drill Sergeant school right now and she is part of a test class for possible new P.O.I. There's a new commandant at the Academy. That means change.

Start learning the DS creed and first 3 modules now. Sit back observe the DS's and take mental notes of everything. Good luck

PT,PT,PT. get out the FM's for D&C and PT. rely and ask the Drill Sergeants that you are with as a turtle for practice everyday. Get in a platoon with trainees work hard, don't just sit back and study. did I mention PT?
