SPC Michael Henry 6136150 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I understand the entire process of getting a signed DD368 and whatnot. I am just curious about the medical side of things while at MEPS. I have heard if your medpros are all green then you don&#39;t have to do the medical process at MEPS. The problem I have is I used to be active duty and I applied for and received a VA disability rating when I got out, before going into the reserves. Is this going to stop everything in its tracks even though my medpros are green? Thanks for your time and please refrain from attacking me about fraudulent enlistment. I am not trying to hide anything. I am only going to do everything legitimately. That is why I want to clear everything up here. I also know that I cannot receive VA payments while on active duty so no need to drill me on that. Thanks again. This is 7-8 years ago when I recruited. Any other recruiters wanna come in? Depending on what your service connections are for and the amount some people have to waive their VA disability or lower it to continue on with a transfer. That’s something MEPS and your recruiter and liaison person for your branch might be able to help you with. Good luck! Medpros was green, didn&#39;t do ANYTHING related to medical at meps. Only thing I did at meps was paperwork for my mos and reclass. Super easy. As far as you receiving va, I think if its below a certain %, you&#39;ll be ok as far as qualified to join. I&#39;m not solid on that though Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 24 at 2020 6:38 PM 2020-07-24T18:38:33-04:00 2020-07-24T18:38:33-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 6136204 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So on the MEPS side of things you’ll have to do a full blown physical all over again, your MEDPROS won’t matter. It will be like going through all over again from start to finish. ( I did the exact same thing in 2011) on the VA side of the house you’ll have to coordinate with the VA and essentially put your benefits on hold for the duration of time your own AD. Only good thing is when you get out, or retire, you get those benefits re-instated to start getting your payments again and can add to any new claims you may have. Hope that helps! It’s not a deal breaker by any means but be ready to have to get a lot of paperwork to provide to MEPS Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 24 at 2020 6:59 PM 2020-07-24T18:59:40-04:00 2020-07-24T18:59:40-04:00 SSG Brian G. 6137174 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>There is really not one. You are already in the system and all they are doing is updating. You go in, you pee in the cup, they take an X-ray of your chest and of your teeth and then you either retain your old MOS or select a new one and sign your contract, swear the oath of enlistment. Then you ship out. Pretty simple. If you were receiving VA Disability benefit payments, you were at least at 50% rating for a related disability acquired from Active Duty....Ok,having said that, yes if you have an up to date (green) physical from your reserve unit, you should not have to take the full physical at MEPS again. You will need to do an &quot;inspect&quot; at Meps.<br />Reason I asked about your DD Fm 214 is because you will have to supply your recruiter/MEPS with this and any other documents related to you. They will have your past prior service history in the system at MEPS as well (even if you entered at a different MEPS). You will be asked (Your Recruiter and MEPS) what was the nature of yourself receiving VA Disability benefits? This in itself could lead to a medical review and or waiver that may be needed.<br />In short, I would put your recruiter to work with some due diligence for you. Regs and protocol could have changed since I got out, but I am sure not much!!<br />Hoped this helped you out and good luck...hooah!!!
