Why? I understand how important it is to find the right home in the right location during the multiple change of stations that you will do while serving. A home is your "most" important investment. I make it my mission to get every one affiliated with the military the absolute best deal, as any prior military person should. One advantage: I know Realtors in each of the 50 states; they are a part of my network. I can reach out to them prior to your PCS to ensure that you get the best care, and have a smooth (housing) transition. I would also encourage any prior military person to consider becoming a Realtor; you can do it while you serve! I would recommend using Veterans for these resources as well as for the financing aspects of the homebuying process as well. My wife has been considering getting in to real estate also, but I think we've been scared to try it. I would love to keep in touch with you for my future PCS moves, and also for guidance regarding opportunities in real estate. No one understands the needs of military and their families like Realtors that have served themselves. I am the Broker/Owner of ABC Realty serving mid-Michigan, and I will begin my 43rd year as a Realtor next month. Over the years I have worked with clients from all five branches of the military. My office is in the small town of Howell, the County Seat of Livingston County, MI.

Howell is also proud to be home to Army National Guard 1462nd Transportation Company that completed Operation Steel Sword at Camp Buehring, Kuwait and returned safely two years ago this month.

It has been my experience that active duty and veteran clients are more focused in their home searches and they typically understand the need to prioritize their needs vs their desires. They also demonstrate the virtue of loyalty. When a VA Loan makes sense given their individual situation, I can recommend reputable local lenders who are expert in navigating the process.

Finally, I love hiring military people (active duty or veterans) as agents. So much so that I will pay for the pre-license training of any Michigan resident who demonstrates the tenacity to succeed in our business and who has a military ID, or a DD 214. In certain cases, I will extend this same offer to military and veteran spouses.
