For Hudson Valley, Playyourfreedom.org. They utilize various fitness programs and peer to peer support programs to help veterans and their families transition from active duty to civilian life.

Westchester County public golf courses offer dignificant discounts for disabled veterans. Free golf in Hundson hills and $20 golf in Spain Lake, Dunwoodie and Saxon Woods. Birdies for brave offers free lessons and tickets to golf tournaments nationwide and the Hope program offers disabled veterans brand new golf clubs. Golf is a fantastic theraputic sport to help transitionioning service members adjust to Civilian life.

I don’t live near any of these places, I live near Oneonta NY, but the Lowe’s there offers 10% discounts to veterans all the time, Home Depot there does as well

CPO Funk , I'm with you looks like there is a east and a west New York? But they leave out the best part of the state and that's fine with me. I live by the Sampson Air Force base. Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be a world-class veterans' cemetery located at the former Sampson Naval and Air Force Base. The site resides next to the Sampson WWII Navy Veterans Museum, the Sampson State Park and the former Seneca Army Depot.

Another resource for Hudson Valley area is the Hudson Valley National Center for Veteran Reintegration. They provide counseling, support and programs (yoga, martial arts, wilderness retreats, financial readiness, etc) to help Vets reintegrate into their communities. https://hvcvr.org/
