Just bought this book to read on my way to deployment number 4. I've seen the movie, but somehow never read the book until now.

Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS In the late 1970's I read Catch 22 as part of a course requirement while I was a cadet at West Point. At the time, my company tactical officer was named Major Major. That fact made the book more interesting and I couldn't help but notice the irony of the novel and my own situation. Later on I met the former tactical officer after he had been promoted and was now LTC Major. We always wonder if he named any of his children Sargent.
