Rumor of a patch being designed for wear on right sleeve for deployment to GTMO? Will regulation be changed to allow wear of it?

At most it'll be similarly the MFO patch like in Sinai. There won't be a combat patch for GTMO. Sorry.

More than likely it will be something worn during that mission only. Similar to the ISAF patch we wore in Afghanistan.

I don't see that happening and well I hope that it does not happen. Sorry Guantanamo bay is not in a combat zone. It is a lot more like Korea.

I'm pretty sure GTMO will not qualify for a RSSI, however... If it did wouldn't it just be USARSO like in Just Cause 89? If deployed to GTMO, don't you fall under USARSO as part of JTFGB?

I was QRF/EGF. Although not in a theater of combat, ‘94 was anything but a humanitarian effort. If it was, it felt failed. Thousands upon thousands uprising in the camps over truthful rumors of repatriation to Aristide.
Until you’ve pressed skirmish lines against that level of fear and hate I’d say a patch, jmua or hsm falls short. Try to use kid gloves with gpmed poles being used as weapons, TB/AIDS camp where detainees throw fecal matter. What award, citation or medal can be issued that is meritorious yet truly reflects the blunders of the Op.
It was hand to hand for the QRF daily.
A patch? They won’t even grant ptsd.
How would you feel? Slighted?
