I am considering an new option for using technology to support our citizens, particularly those with ties to the service.<br /><br />I am interested in using telepresence technology to support remote weddings for our deployed service members.<br /><br />Does anyone know of a deployed (or deploying) service member who would be willing to marry his/her fiancee/fiance remotely from station on 04MAR15? This would have to be local in San Diego. I'm dead serious about this. If I can get someone to volunteer, I plan to propose this to the county. But it's a cart and horse kind of thing. At the County Administration Building at 1600 Pacific Highway, there is an office that handles marriage licenses and conducts weddings.
