I moved to Korea nearly three years ago and had to put some of my stuff into self storage; specifically spare parts for my POV. Since I just learned about this, I went to my finance detachment to get more information on this; but they just referred me to the transportation office. I went to the transportation office and tried to get more information, but the communication barrier was too great. Neither their English nor my Korean were good enough to properly convey the message, so I am left where I started. I know that it is possible to be reimbursed but I have no idea how to go about doing it.

Does anybody know what I need to do to be reimbursed for my self storage while I have been in Korea? That I should have started the process three years ago.

I was told I need a statement from the transportation office; but like I stated earlier, a big communication barrier is keeping this prices at a standstill.

Has anyone got an example of the "statement"? I have my receipts and storage contract, but no body knows anything about this statement.

Do I go through my current transportation office or my transportation office at my last duty station?
