It would have been pertinent to share that this is only for E6 or above and GS equivalent... I was pretty psyched at the idea, too... bummer...

MSG Quick - you beat me to the punch.<div><br></div><div>I saw the discussion about working in a Joint environment and was going to propose ALL NCOs to take this course.</div><div><br></div><div>I did this course after working with joint partners and immediately assessed I needed some additional training/education.</div><div><br></div><div>After I took the course, I have been in working with joint partners constantly and the information I learned from this course has been very beneficial!</div><div><br></div>

<p>I concur.  This is a great course to introduce NCOs to the Joint or DoD environment.  I found myself "googling" a lot of lessons to gather more information on the course curriculum.  I would definitely recommend it to senior SSGs, SFCs and MSGs.  </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Last FY, it could be placed on your ERB.  It fell off this FY.  If anyone can chime in on if there is a "work around" for this to get it back on, please post.  Thanks!!!</p>

Not only is this course a great educational plus for any SR leader, it is a requirment to have completed for the Sergeants Major Academy.

I think it is a great course, full of information. I had to take it last year as part of USASMA Class 63. I wish I had been told to take the course prior to showing up. It would have helped me out in the DJIIM semester of the Academy. I also agree that it could be very useful to SSGs and SFCs if they are going to be operating in the Joint environment and even if not. They will gain a wealth of knowledge about the DOD and Joint environment.

SEJPME-001 is now available for all NCOs in the pay grade of E-5 and above. I'm currently taking it since I'm deployed in a joint environment. Definitely an eye opener.

To those of you who have not been to MLC, SEJPME will make life a little easier. I suggest you consider knocking it out if you want to have an advantage in what I think is the toughest Army course I have ever taken.
