Anything they put out would be just a guess. I've never figured out all the factors that go into the AC side (mainly because RC don't have sequence numbers.....), but it seems to be driven primarily by the speed of COL promotions and retirements (thus vacancies at LTC). <br /><br />Some years, it has seemed to be fairly rapid, others fairly slow. I would expect this year to be on the slow side. As a rule of thumb, I would expect 1/15th of the list per month, with a surge at the very end.Response by COL Vincent Stoneking made Aug 1 at 2015 12:43 PM2015-08-01T12:43:33-04:002015-08-01T12:43:33-04:00COL Thomas F.864629<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The list you received has the sequence numbers already indicated to the left of your name. In your case, you are #64. The first group that HRC deems necessary to promote will receive order PDQ. If history is anything of a guide, you will see the first MILPER message come out sometime in August (IMHO) with the next group of numbers to be promoted the following month, and so forth each month. There is no rhyme or reason to the amount each month, but last year it averaged about 15/mo. From my research, it is based on funding allocation for MilPay, number of slots available to be filled, retires, stuff like that. I suspect you should pop up on the third or forth list based on your number.<br />As far as your branch giving you the list, I asked my guy and he told me what it was but didnt provide a document. If you tell him you are trying to organize the promotion ceremony and sync calendars with the primary members, they may be more helpful.Response by COL Thomas F. made Aug 4 at 2015 12:57 PM2015-08-04T12:57:56-04:002015-08-04T12:57:56-04:00LTC Paul Labrador865024<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Chechnya HRC Web pageResponse by LTC Paul Labrador made Aug 4 at 2015 3:40 PM2015-08-04T15:40:54-04:002015-08-04T15:40:54-04:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member866378<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Or how about major promotions seems like they are holding on to the info until the last minuteResponse by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 5 at 2015 7:36 AM2015-08-05T07:36:41-04:002015-08-05T07:36:41-04:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member867237<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Rusty,<br />Go to the HRC website. ALL AZ's will be promoted in September 2015. <br />2. ALL BZ's will get promoted in August of 2016. <br />3. Total population - AZ - BZ = PZ. <br />4. PZ / 10 = Monthly promotions. <br />5. You can then get a general idea when you will get promoted. <br /><br />Assume a population of 100 with 3 AZ and 7 BZ. 9 PZ's would be promoted every month beginning OCT 15 through JUL 16<br />1-3 are promoted in SEP 15 (AZ's)<br />94-100 are promoted in AUG 16 (BZ's)<br />4-12 in OCT 15<br />13-21 in NOV 15<br />Etc. Etc. <br /><br />Caveat: Obviously this assumes HRC and G1 are not shifting promotion timelines for this year group.Response by COL Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 5 at 2015 2:08 PM2015-08-05T14:08:53-04:002015-08-05T14:08:53-04:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member875403<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I finally just emailed promotions branch and received a response right away with the answer. 1 October.Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 8 at 2015 9:48 PM2015-08-08T21:48:56-04:002015-08-08T21:48:56-04:00MAJ Private RallyPoint Member882855<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am not sure if this has been done yet, but before anybody can be promoted from the list the Senate has to approve of the list. I went out to the Senate's website that has all of the nominations listed and couldn't find anything for the ACC LTCs list. (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.senate.gov/reference/Nominations/Index.htm">http://www.senate.gov/reference/Nominations/Index.htm</a>) It doesn't look like the list was even received by the Senate yet so it may be a while before they get to it, especially since I believe they are currently on a break for the month of August. Hopefully, the Army/DoD will submit it first thing upon the Senate's return and action will be quick on it.<br /><br />Hope this adds to the conversation.Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 11 at 2015 9:29 PM2015-08-11T21:29:38-04:002015-08-11T21:29:38-04:002015-07-31T23:19:30-04:00
