I am competing with three other service members on the 11th of this month. I have just read over a new message about the Service Star authorization for the GWOT Expeditionary Medal some of us wear. This message came out on Febuary 9th of this year.
I know it is a compitition but I want to set the others up for success(for some reason...lol) question is...Should I tell the other competitors or let them find it the way I did?

Self preservation is key.

I can come up with a bunch more I'm sure. It's a competition, you've done some research/reading to make yourself more knowledgeable. They should do the same. This is what separates competitors from winners.

Now, in everyday life, yes share your knowledge to help everyone improve.

Each service will publish their own Maradmin, Navbul etc on proper wear etc. So, even though it may be authorized for one service, it may not be authorized for all at the same time.

So, double check to ensure you are authorized to wear it (Army message), and not just the DoD announcement, first.
