SFC PCSing (unaccompanied) to Korea early August 2017. What is the current housing policies for a SFC unnacompannied?

Suwon and Osan tagged? I assumed 6-52 until I saw Kunsan. Suwon housing ain't too bad - mini kitchen, full bed, space. You may be able to hear table time, though. You're minutes away from everything, including your Soldiers. yay, right ?

All the seniors have their own on post billets unless availability is lacking then they will authorize off post housing.

When I was there in 13' you would get an "apartment" with a kitchenette, bedroom, bathroom, and a mini den. Hit or miss on AC and it wasn't CPS. So if shit hits the fan, you would have to move in with an airman, private, or junior NCO that has a dorm room in the CPS facilities.

They get they're own room, with kitchenette, bathroom. It's not bad. If you have too much stuff for your room, you should be able to do the paperwork to get set up with a place off post.

You'll be in SLQ's. Camp Humphreys is not so bad either , I just left there. Are you still with 5-7 ADA? 2ID is a different set of Army rules lol.

Housing policy is that pending availability, you can be kept in temporary lodging for up to 30 days. If nothing is available or you have extenuating circumstances (such as large furniture that won't fit or an ant infestation - previous experiences), then you are allotted an off-post housing allowance. Unlike BAH, you don't get to pocket the excess rent $. You do get to pocket whatever utility $ you don't spend (approx. $400).
