Shoud the Muslim student from Irving, Texas, Ahmed Mohamed, get 15 million for false arrest?

Many legal commentators say the irrational jury verdict had something to do with the fact that the Jury may have been very annoyed or offended by the Defense Attorneys arguing that her "damages" were minimal because her career seemed to be unaffected, or they implied actually did better economically because of the video being put on the internet.

Whoever came up with the idea to imply this is helpful to her career needs to rethink their angle. When you break it down, Marriott is being fined an amount of less than $2. per view. Is that reasonable? Yes it's possible a smug or arrogant stance from the attorney could affect how a jury may make an award. What was the male/female ratio of the jury? Still compared to what people get for being killed by the police or raped, it seems disproportionate.
