Should a Guardsman be allowed to wear OCP if he has not shipped out?

Is he a member of the U.S. Army? If so, then he is subject to AR 670-1, which doesn’t place any restrictions on it. Stay in your lane, and stop trying to be a blue falcon to another kid because he has a cooler toy.

He is in the Guard but has not shipped out yet, I am not trying to be a blue falcon I am just trying to keep a friend out of trouble.

If the unit issues and expects the RSP Soldiers to wear it. Then they wear it. Why are you concerned with it? You should be concerned about claiming to be a 13J, when you surely have not earned that, since you just enlisted in February.

Of course, Rotc and JROTC wear uniforms, and they haven't been to basic or AIT yet.
