This would make it easier to mobilize units with battle ready equipment to new theater of operations. It would also ensure that troops are training on the equipment that they would be utilizing down range. This is important as we all know driving a heavier vehicle is a huge difference especially visibility. However, cost to buy just uparmored vehicles during a financial crunch time may not allow such a move. What are your thoughts? Should all military vehicles in inventory be uparmored? 2015-04-09T11:28:18-04:00 LTC Private RallyPoint Member 581617 <div class="images-v2-count-1"><div class="content-picture image-v2-number-1" id="image-33177"> <div class="social_icons social-buttons-on-image"> <a href='https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rallypoint.com%2Fanswers%2Fshould-all-military-vehicles-in-inventory-be-uparmored%3Futm_source%3DFacebook%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_campaign%3DShare%20to%20facebook' target="_blank" class='social-share-button facebook-share-button'><i class="fa fa-facebook-f"></i></a> <a href="https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=Should+all+military+vehicles+in+inventory+be+uparmored%3F&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rallypoint.com%2Fanswers%2Fshould-all-military-vehicles-in-inventory-be-uparmored&amp;via=RallyPoint" target="_blank" class="social-share-button twitter-custom-share-button"><i class="fa fa-twitter"></i></a> <a href="mailto:?subject=Check this out on RallyPoint!&body=Hi, I thought you would find this interesting:%0D%0AShould all military vehicles in inventory be uparmored?%0D%0A %0D%0AHere is the link: https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/should-all-military-vehicles-in-inventory-be-uparmored" target="_blank" class="social-share-button email-share-button"><i class="fa fa-envelope"></i></a> </div> <a class="fancybox" rel="0effc82d43539cefffbe1796f1add8dc" href="https://d1ndsj6b8hkqu9.cloudfront.net/pictures/images/000/033/177/for_gallery_v2/image.jpg"><img src="https://d1ndsj6b8hkqu9.cloudfront.net/pictures/images/000/033/177/large_v3/image.jpg" alt="Image" /></a></div></div>With the current threat of IEDs, UXOs, RPGs, etc. should every vehicle in the miltary's inventory be uparmored? There is still training value when training on non-up-armored vehicles. Leaders just need to ensure when in country their Soldiers get the proper training on the armored vehicles before assuming missions.
