Should Congress relax restrictions on medical marijuana testing? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/should-congress-relax-restrictions-on-medical-marijuana-testing <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Veterans groups are rallying efforts to convince Congress to lift restrictions on cannabis testing that would help researchers learn more about its potential health benefits. One group in particular is opening lawmakers’ eyes to the positive impact from cannabis studies and discussing the challenges vets face from opioid addiction. Members of the Veterans Cannabis Project are hoping their efforts will help lawmakers pressure members of the Trump administration who remain staunchly opposed. The Department of Veterans Affairs is among those against loosening restrictions, arguing that while marijuana remains a Schedule 1 drug, federal law restricts the agency’s ability to conduct research that involves the drug. IMHO, I think prescribing marijuana to those in pain or with PTSD would be a far better alternative to prescribing anti-psychotics or opioids. It is not the tax payers problem to make any feel good. To say that legalizing or medicinal purposes is the reason for making a known grown product is the right thing to do is stupidity. Today, marijuana is laced treated and poisoned to the point of making people do all sorts of stuff that are not normal. Say no to opioids and no to marijuana. Also try this. Travel to Colorado and look at all the bums smiling in what use to be nice business districts. Is that what we really want. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 26 Oct 2017 21:09:59 -0400 2017-10-26T21:09:59-04:00 Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 26 at 2017 9:41 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/should-congress-relax-restrictions-on-medical-marijuana-testing?n=3037063&urlhash=3037063 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes they should but to do it they would need to change the drug schedule from I to a II or a III. I personally thing that the feds should change the drug schedule for weed from a I to a III. It would give states a lot more flexibility in dealing with weed.
