Should he disqualify himself? In 2020 he said Biden was too old to become President. If Trump is reelected in 2024, he will be five months older than the age Biden was in 2020.

Speaking as someone who does not want him to run, I will still address your points. However, whether I vote for him or not, which is really the question, depends on the candidate the Dems put up should Trump win the nomination (which I do not think he will this time around).

1. He did not "take" classified documents, he retained them and fought with the Library of Congress as to whether he could continue holding on to them. The documents were not left in an unlocked room, that is a complete mischaracterization of the information released. They were stored in his resort in offices not accessible to anyone without authorization and he still has Secret Service personnel providing security to his Mara Lago resort. To say they were unprotected is a farce. Had this been the case, the FBI would have retrieved them a long time ago.

2. Maybe so and the facts are still coming out about that. Having dinner with antisemitic people does not make one antisemitic. You do know his son-in-law and his daughter are Jewish right? I assume you also noted his support to Israel as President right? The fact is, we have no idea how the dinner played out, what happened, what they may have talked about, etc. This is why it is important to get all the facts before judging people.

3. Trump, as usual, spoke irrationally and I personally think he never meant "suspend the Constitution" as he was referring to rules in general on the Twitter topic. He's frustrated about Twitter's actions to suppress information and rightfully so. However, the way he articulates his frustration and such is what I take issue with. Not because I believe he wants to do away with the Constitution. There are plenty of folks on the left who want to do away with all kinds of parts of the Constitution (Right bear arms, Electoral College, some even want to allow children and illegal immigrants to vote). What Trump said in typical Trump fashion, not separating and qualifying his statements, was stupid and yes, it is a big reason why I do not want him to run.

With that said, I will not be voting for him in the Primaries. The General election has yet to be determined, but a second term for Biden I believe will be much worse. Either way, we'd be screwed, which is why I say it is time for the American people to start promoting my generation (X) and end the Baby Boomer era of control over the office of the President (and several other significant positions). It's not their age I'm concerned about so much (although Biden absolutely looks like he doesn't know where he is or what he's doing), it's their ability to grasp today's issues and resonate better with the American people. Trump and Biden are both set in their ways and way too polarizing, so I have little desire to see either of them continue. There are better options out there. But if you think Trump or even Biden will "disqualify" themselves, I don't think you understand these people that well. In the end, even two new candidates will be turned into polarizing figures, but I didn't like either one of these two before they chose to run from President. Finally, if you're going to use those three points to call for Trump to disqualify himself, have you ever put thought to Biden's questionable actions and statements? They're essentially two peas in the same pod.

I think he should do the right thing and discreetly support a conservative candidate who actually has a chance to win. I am not out to make this another place that people can slam each other over who they feel is ideal.
However to address some of your concerns:
1. He took classified documents and stored them in unlocked rooms.
I am not sure if you have the unlocked rooms totally right, but they certainly were not in locked file cabinets that they should have been. His overall thought process on Classified, Sensitive and Official Documents makes one wonder if he even understands why documents are labeled at certain levels. If any one left the military did the same thing they would be recalled to Active Duty to face court martial and be serving jail time. So on that point alone, I feel he is not fit for serving in any office ever again.

2. He had dinner with two known anti-Semitic men.
This alone is only being shared in the news to create more news for him. Their has been many current and former elected officials that have had meetings with people that would be very questionable. Does that in itself disqualify them from serving in office? No I would say as unless you can connect this meeting to some type of promise or deal then it merely was just a meeting.

3. He is now talking about suspending the Constitution.
This one certainly is a disqualification for anyone that makes even comments to get rid of the Constitution. This document is the only thing keeping this nation from having a monarchy or being overthrown by some group.

I always tell people to vote to the person based on their beliefs and values and do not make a choice based on what your family, neighbors or friends tell you to do.

We are still a free nation and we still have the right to vote.

If a military member chooses to discuss politics on social media, there are guidelines which must be followed. Discussing politics on social media could lead to unintended violations of directives and regulations. Even though our 1st Amendment allows freedom of speech, members of the US military are limited to what they can discuss on a social media platforms.
Yes, it is understood that there are retired military and civilian personnel that participate in the RP forum. Having a variety of of participants could further lead to inappropriate and unlawful remarks in the forum between participants.
Discussing politics is a favorite pastime and can be fun and interesting; however, there are other platforms which are more suited to the topic. In my opinion, RP should be used to discuss military topics. RP is a place to share information and experiences between professional military members, retired personnel and affiliated civilian personnel. Also, to be honest, politics can be plain out boring sometimes.

I find it unreal that America seems to never learn from the destructive policies of the left. Every time we have had a Democrat Congress and President we take three steps back with our liberty.

Deadly disdained , destructive, distressing, with this agent of death we shouldn't be messing.
Malice, meanness malicious and menacing, obnoxious odious offensive obsessing.

Fatal, foulness, frightful and greedy, bringing sure death to all of the needy.
Ghastly, grody, poisonous and speedy, painful perilous is this agent so seedy.

Horrifying, hostility, hatefulness that is marred, a killer of mankind, it's toxins bombard.

A repugnant destroyer, and all without mourn, it murders the rose and hands you the thorn.

There's no chance to abstain, it's really insane, if you don't believe let's consider again.

Time to emerge from this era of dirge, remove all it's buddies so there's no upsurge.

YES he should not be allowed to run in 2024. Trump is not qualified to run for POTUS. He violated the sacred oath that we all took to “defend and protect the constitution against all enemies both foreign & domestic”. As far as I am concerned he fermented sedition by sending his minions to march on the capital and did nothing to call of his dogs if war for hours. We he did he had the audacity to claim the election had been stolen (and still does) after admitting to his closest people that he had lost.
There is no proof anywhere of election impropriety. He is a narcissist who has never been able to admit defeat.
I voted for him in 2016, and his first 2 years I thought he was doing a good job. Unfortunately his true self came out that all he cares about is himself. He will throw anyone under the bus to save himself. If there is a god, may he/she help us if he is allowed to return to office.
We are is a sad place in American politics where we do not have enough politicians who place what is best for the USA front and center above being re-elected.
I have never voted for a democrat for POTUS, but I have more faith in Biden than I do in either Trump or DeSantis.
Between the treats of Russia to the east and China to the west we need a leader who can maintain strong relationships with our allies to stand against our adversaries. Trump would allow his buddy Putin free reign in Ukraine, he has made clear his feelings about NATO. Biden has done a good job of uniting NATO, it is unfortunate the the sanctions against Russia have not been more successful.

I have read many responses to this question and I am astounded at the political apathy shown by many members here. First of all, is this a question that should be asked or answered by some you who are currently serving? Traditionally our military has been non-political. When its members start actively expressing political viewpoints, unit cohesion begins to suffer. How would you trust a member with whom you serve but is of the opposite view as you and is very vocal about it?
Secondly, did any of you even bother to research this topic before posting your comments? What I have read so far can be summed-up as a shrill temper-tantrum. Boiler-plate statements may work well with those who support you but perhaps they should be supported with facts.
Thirdly, I noticed the shocking ignorance of how our Constitution actually works. All of you should have learned this in high school by now. I could spend a very long time discussing this one aspect but suffice it to say, please go back and reread the Constitution and what powers have been assigned to each of the branches of government.
I am old enough to remember the end of the Vietnam War and to have seen the slow polarization of our society. Since 1992, our nation has drifted apart politically. The passing of the WW2 threat since 1991(i.e., the Cold War). A generation of leaders (baby-boomers) have taken over the reins of government and is now slowly passing the torch to Generation X. The Cold War (with the USSR) was replaced by terrorists. For the next 30 yrs., we fought small-wars throughout the world. Now we face the rise of China and an ultra-nationalist in Russia (Putin). Yet we are bitterly divided at home.
For those of you who have read this far, I appreciate your patience. I would like to respond to the original question. I will address each point individually.
He took classified documents and stored them in unlocked rooms: Presidential Executive Order 13526 lays out the procedures by which National Security Information can be declassified. It would take too long to explain here, so I will list the relevant sections. If you wish to know more about this, I will provide the link below.

All Presidents and Vice-Presidents are allowed to review and declassify information, PROVIDED that the above-mentioned procedures have been followed. However, all presidents have utilized the “gray areas,” to obtain data beneficial to them(or whomever they support). If you make the case that Trump was in possession of classified documents AND that they were improperly stored, then that same accusation can be used against former POTUS, Obama and the current CIC as well as his VP. Yet this selective outrage is only against Donald Trump. Furthermore, if you are going to make this accusation, then you need to include former Secretary of State, Hilary R. Clinton, who had her own server in her home where she illegally stored CLASSIFIED data which had been hacked by Russia, China, North Korea, and God only knows who else.
He had dinner with two known antisemitic men. I have a few questions here. Who were these two men? Did he dine with them together or separately? How long ago did this occur? Did he endorse any of their actions?
Those who make these accusations forget that his son-in-law and daughter are both Jewish (the latter by conversion). When he won the presidency, PM Benjamin Netanyahu, was the 1st to congratulate him. Perhaps a case can be made of the sometimes, amateurish way Trump deals with political situations. Then again, he is an outsider and NOT a professional politician. That infuriates those in Congress (both Democrat and Republican). In the end, this accusation is just another weapons, his enemies use to tear him down.
He is now talking about suspending the Constitution. This absurdity was taken from a comments Trump made about Elon Musk releasing data that showed Twitter had suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story. His exact words are posted below.
Some of the responses on this thread are childish and ill-informed. They ignore history and even reality. Under Trump, our economy was booming. We were, for the 1st time in 70+ years an oil EXPORTER. Putin was reminded that any shenanigans in Syria would be violently dealt with. We did kill 200 Russian troops who were shooting at our soldiers. We had a sort of détente with North Korea and the world was relatively stable.
It is strange that within 2 years, this nation is on the brink of WW3 and is lead by a party that is all-too-eager to start it.

1. Mishandling classified documents seems to be a common thread in DC. Subordinates and staff who work for POTUS, whatever the party, are clueless about what to do with said "pieces of paper". What is missing is an SOP for our civilian military authorities.

Thx for your question. I do not know of a single politician, much less a single human being, that does not have skeletons in his closet. If then I believe this and then choose someone as if I am more worthy, I speak from a point of judgement. I too then will be judged. Therefore, I cannot choose anyone from a moral point of view. Instead, I must decide from a policy point of view.

Trump has made countless mistakes, and there are many things personally that irritate me about his behavior and his character. If I were to base my sole decision upon those attributes, I might vote for someone else. He has accomplished a great deal for the citizens of this country. His policies---not all of them---worked! I enjoyed better VA benefits, lower taxes, border protection, lower food costs, lower gas prices, the non-weaponization of our law enforcement and even our soldiers (I felt safer and freer).

There are no perfect candidates, and the greatest benefit we as a country experience is the freedom to think and choose as individuals. Group-think is a great tragedy: A soldier in once-Communist Romania was thrown into prison for his misdeeds alongside a pastor incarcerated for his faith. Naturally the pastor asked the soldier if he was a believer. But when the soldier replied, tears welled up in the pastor's eyes---the soldier saying, "I will believe if I have orders to believe." That is perhaps the saddest thing I have ever heard in my life---a man who was no longer able to think for himself.

I respect any man's choices if they are his, even if I may not agree with them; but a man who cannot make a choice of his own free will, is already dead in his soul.

I voted for Trump in both elections (I didn't vote for him in the '16 primary (Jeb). I don't think he'll win the primary in '24. Personally, I support Nikki Haley. Politics are Politics, old men create wars that young men and women must fight. The commanders and chief must lead by example, because the private and sp4 may never get a chance to know him or her up close and personal. I had to drive through the mess that was taking place normally I would drive to Union Station and park, but I instead drove and parked at my job sight. What is upsetting is the President could have calmed the crowd. I have worked through many protest, but none were as violent as Jan 6th. I don't know how many of you realize or even care that Jan 6th was the first time that the Confederate flag was flown in the Capital!! Anyone who took the military oath to defend should have been appalled! I am not only appalled because I am a African American woman, but because I am a United States Veteran.

I became a Republican with Reagan and suffered through the "thousand points of light" and then came the Bush/Cheney comedy team of stupid and dangerous. Trump was the last straw for me. When looking back at my support of Ron Paul and the Tea Party and Oath Keepers, I realized that our system of government is not suitable for libertarian ideologies: in order for them to work, we'd need to strip down the entire system and build something new.

But our system is what made us the greatest power on earth, so why should anyone want to tear it up? If you want to make America great by looking backwards, then fine: Let's look at things like Unions, which brought about laws that protect workers so that most industries don't even need unions much anymore. Taxes, where the corporations paid for the system of laws that they could rely on to protect their interests, educated workforce to power their engines, an efficient and reliable transportation network to move their goods, a strong military to provide international stability, and a social security system to allow workers some life after work (since the previously ubiquitous private pensions were all eliminated).

The steady march of lobbyists from corporate America combined with the "revolving door" of corporate shills moving into and out of senior government regulatory bodies see regulation as an expense to be minimized regardless of the cost to innocent life. Sure, some regulation may go too far, but ask any company which regulation to keep, and they'll tell you none, because preserving human life or health is not part of their profit calculation. Who cares about Monsanto's evil tactics to bankrupt small farmers under the guise of IP protection over a product that we now are pretty sure causes cancer (even though the Europeans banned it decades ago), and now can be found in nearly ever box of children's breakfast cereal. Who cares that we face chronic diseases in record and increasing numbers, likely caused by other changes in our common environment, like the additives we allow in wheat (again, banned long ago by Europe), the inability to reduce pollution, and the constant deluge of sugar-laden processed foods. The pharmaceutical companies come up with new "treatments" but never cures. When's the last time you heard of a "cure" for anything? There's no money in cures, is there...

The only time corporations support regulation is when it is so expensive that only the largest can afford it, using the power of government by the people as a bludgeon to force out smaller competitors without the resources to meet the rules. Consolidation, merger, acquisition: our choices are becoming an illusion as power is further concentrated among fewer entities.

At this point in history, nothing the Democrats do is more dangerous than the Republicans who are working incessantly at increasing Corporate power (Citizens United), cutting back regulations and protections for otherwise powerless citizens, and dismantling the systems that ensure our democracy is fair (gerrymandering). They are grabbing as much power as they can by any means necessary because they know in a head-to-head contest for the soul of the American people, minus all the dis-information and BS they promote to cloud the water, the new Republican vision loses every time, hands down. The next generation of voters will ensure their demise, so they are hard at work now to minimize the possibility of having a government system that truly represents the will of the people in favor of one that pushes corporate power to the top.

Someday I hope to be a Republican again, if they can ever restore some honor and truth to their ideology. However, it's more likely that Trump's bewildering level of incompetence, unnecessary belligerence toward our foreign partners and their citizens, blatant indifference to the fate of common Americans, and elevation of "taunting" over dialogue as the preferred method of communication has sealed the fate of a Republican party long in decline, probably since McCarthy. It may be easier for a new party to emerge.

What I find truly discouraging is the large swath of historically Republican voters who find themselves unable to switch their vote, as if it was some kind of betrayal of a longtime family member. Their lack of courage, even despite the obvious mean-spirited, anti-Constitutional and nearly tyrannical activities we have seen over the past 10 years, starting with the unjustifiable Iraq war, through the blocking of Obama's legitimate Supreme Court nominations, the endless onslaught against Obamacare with no practical alternatives, and culminating with Trump's gutting of oversight bodies and consensual disregard for principled governance, shows how so many voters think of our country's future more like a football game than a serious civic responsibility.

It's not about your "team" winning: it's about the ability of our country to survive for many generations to come.

My feeling is that he has no chance of winning. He lost more support that his ego will allow him to admit. Okay, lets put political bias's aside and look at it from this prospective. How old will either candidate be this year? While a lot of men and women are pretty well together at that age, would you trust them to drive you anywhere in a car? I know, neither drives himself anywhere anymore. Go visit any retirement home and you will see people of that age and talk with them. The health downhill slide at that age gets steeper and steeper. Both men should be enjoying retirement at that age. Go fishing or play golf already. Can't America field a couple of better younger qualified candidates? And by younger I mean someone who is not ten years past retirement age.

Every one of the former presidents took home classified documents. However, the ones Trump took were stored in a storage room under lock and key with cctv surveillance.
Biden, however, had them unsecured at a college, and in the garage next to his car. Where, mind you his crooked son had access to them.
He had dinner with Kanye West who brought Nick Fuentes along. While I do not condone hate of anyone. I do believe one is not responsible for the belief of others. Kanye, while he has his own problems, does not step up to the Jewish hatred He does appear to have what is a generational belief of how Jewish people control the industry he is in.\
As for the suspension of the constitution. I do believe he is culpable of that. But will chalk alot up to the hyperbole of the media.
All that said, I will not be voting for Trump unless he is the chosen candidate. Let the people speak!

Your question sounds like you get your information from the TV. No, seriously. What do you do to make sure you don't stay biased one way or the other? Where do you get your information from? Don't misunderstand me. I used to be a Democrat but now, recently, I'm the Party of Me and that's because I realize that ALL SIDES HAVE MULTIPLE SIDES. Trump has his faults but never forget, what they do is they use someone you don't like to implement policies that will affect everyone. Are you prepared to be targeted the same way and using the same tactics that are used against your enemies? I hope so because that's what happens. You'll agree to it only because you don't like the person until it happens to you. It happens all the time. That's how it's done. You just keep that same energy when it's your turn.

Remember that time when Trump said, "if you don't vote for me, you ain't black."? Sounds bad doesn't it? Well that wasn't Trump, it was Biden. Biden made a remark about black kids rubbing the hair on his legs like roaches. He also stated he didn't want his kids to grow up in a racial jungle. Do you know that white Liberals are the ones who "dumb down" their speech when they talk to black people? How many Democrats and Liberals do you think have been caught calling black people the n-word?

If you are choosing sides, you've already lost. I hope you'll reevaluate where you get your information from and broaden your sources. Do what I did and try to understand where others are coming from. Look at things from other people's point of view. Why do the people you disagree with think the way they do? Join groups of people who think differently than you. It has to be a very purposeful effort. Look for commonalities instead of differences. You'll find that we all have more in common than not.

Your tags include the word racism. Do you know where it came from and who started the idea of race? I hope you look into it because it's very enlightening. Did you know that the KKK had two iterations and the first one supported black people? Which party first elected black people to hold office? Where do you think the KKK hoods came from? Did you know that a Democrat helped dedicate the Confederate statue in Baltimore that was removed for being racist? Do you know who was the first to own slaves in America? All in all, Trump's term in Office was seen by him as an opportunity to salvage his failed business dealings and brand name by abusing his position of President of the USA. From Ivanka's $77 million chinese trademarks, to Jared Kushner's $2 billion real estate Saudi deal. Yep called a money grab of historical proportions. Not to mention the Secret Service's overpriced stays in his golf resorts on the taxpayer's dime, his hysterical Executive time abuses, well you know he wasn't going to play any golf and was to be the most hard working President of all time if elected.
And finally, let this case of classified documents be resolved by a jury or a judge. Stop trying to influence the personal views of people, I know it's hard when you have been brainwashed by a cheap snake oil salesman and con artist.

I will not opine upon the pending criminal charges now levied against Donald J. Trump. They will be decided where they should be, in a courtroom. While I voted for him both times he won the nomination, it was mostly by default, his opponents being even more distasteful to me as a conservative. While I laud his policies as POTUS, his numerous character flaws my well result in another defeat such as in the last election, which resulted in the numerous failures of the current administration. It is a sad situation for anyone to be in whereby those in contradiction to the objectives of others create such a toxic environment. If he had the best interests of the country and the Republican Party, sure, he should bow out. But Trump rarely seems to have the interests of others at the top of his agenda, and he is not going to disqualify himself, for obvious reasons.

And, in any case, the real problem isn't simply Trump. It also involves mainstream media. {The now-disgraced former honcho at CBS, Les Monves, was on the record about what Trump's run meant for CBS, saying, "... you know—it may not be good for America, but it’s damn good for CBS."

As for the three issues listed? ...
1. Maj McLaughlin's characterization {below} of Trump having 'retained' rather than having taken the documents misses the point. Taken or retained would apply to both President Biden and former VP Pence, neither of whom has had charges brought. Why? Because the issue isn't taken or retained. It's clearly obstruction of justice, which then demonstrates the illegal intent that makes his continued possession of them a separate charge.
2. As for who Trump dines with? Not an issue. His anti-Semitism? A serious question. But we're talking about a guy who authorized the move of the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. I suspect he did it in the hope of garnering more of the Jewish vote. But it was an unnecessary and inflammatory move in an always-hot region for a Commander-in-Chief to make.
3. Unlike Maj. McLaughlin's characterization of Trump's notion of suspending the Constitution as something Trump "never meant," I can't divine Trump's mind or intent. All I can say is that, while our government and the military has made some questionable calls over the decades, the one thing that has stayed with me since I enlisted back in 1967 is a simple phrase -- "support and defend the Constitution." No one who was, is, or wants again to be the POTUS has any business in any context of uttering anything about suspending the Constitution.

Aside from the three issues noted, the one I find the most serious is the attempt to overturn the election, not just with a string of frivolous law suits, but organizing slates of alternate electors, trying to pressure election officials into 'finding' votes, and ... and as much or more than anything else ... sitting in front of the TV and watching his supporters storm the Capitol and refusing to call them off for hours. And when he finally made a first effort at intervening -- more than three hours after his protesters first got inside the wire -- he did it with a Tweet!?!

So, let Trump keep his hat in the ring. But also let what our Republican Governor here in Vermont told Trump's supporters as he stirred things up to try to steal the election: YOU'RE BEING PLAYED. ... On that note, since we live in a hyper-polarized time, let me also acknowledge that I've voted for Democrats, Republicans, and Independents ... even if it was more often than I'd like voting for the lesser of two. Speaking of which, I'm still trying to figure out how it came to pass that, back in 2016, it was the two least trusted among all the candidates from either major party who ended up with their party's nomination?!?! {That year, voting in my 12th Presidential election, I voted for a 3rd Party candidate for POTUS.}

IN SHORT, it's 'we the people' who get to elect the President. So let Trump run. But then, if you're looking to vote for him, ask yourself long and hard whether that seems like something that someone who took an oath "to support and defend the Constitution" should be doing.

Trump's cognitive and physical ability is much greater than Biden. So his age isn't an issue.
As far as the 3 things listed, Biden has done worse BUT the DOJ is corrupt so there's a double standard.

Just read all the books from the high-ranking people who worked for Trump. Almost none had anything good to say about him. His presidency operated in chaos and accomplished little. Biden is old, but he has run a competent and professional administration. In this political atmosphere, he has passed a remarkable series of initiatives to help people and prepare the nation for the future. He's in better shape than Trump by far...in fact, I'd love to see him drop and challenge Trump for 20 pushups in the first debate! As far as the 14th Amendment goes, the language is very specific as to who it applies. If you read Section 3, there is no mention of it applying to the President, only to the "electors of the President or Vice-President." Unless you interpret the electors of the President as all those people that voted for the President. Since I didn't VOTE for Trump, I guess it doesn't apply to me. Do you think Trump voted for Trump or Biden?

Believe me, I was a Republican for 52 years and I am certainly no left leaning Biden supporter, Trump is the worst president this country has ever had! He will dismantle the Constitution just lke he says he will! And if he is elected he will never leave office. John Bolton is wrong about the men and women he appoints to serve in his cabinet, they will not go against him nor will those people that are in positions in the various government bureaucracies be they in the DOJ, military, or any other position of power.

Then of course is his history of how he treats women. Remember the audio leak with him bragging about kissing and touching women to get them to let him do anything he wants, which was during his first presidential run? We all have short memories, don't we?
He was absolutely responsible for stoking the fires in the attack on the capitol on Jan 6, 2021!
He is also responsible for much of the American division that we see today, in my opinion. We need a President that brings people together, not at each others throats.
We always seem to find ourselves voting for the lesser of the two evils. As a moderate, I sincerely hope that someone else gets the republican nomination. I truly wish that the democrat party would nominate someone other that Biden because I don't think that he is mentally capable of carry out the duties of POTUS. If our choice is between Biden and Trump again, that will be a sad day for all Americans. 1. Donald Trump was working with the library when they raided his home where he had those boxes locked behind closed doors with cypher locks and guarded by secret service.

Should Trump run for and be president, I say yes. When he was in office, he battled to get things done because the career politicians fought him at every turn. Trump is a poor example of what a President should look like. This goes far beyond, what us military kin would mention back in the day: "respect the position." With 25 years in and serving under him as well as 4 other presidents I can unequivocally say he absolutely should run and for the militaries sake, hopefully win.

1 - How ever the media tries to spin it, the security of his Florida place is far superior than the a garage next to a corvette or a hackable server in a basement. If that was to disqualify him then it should have for the other two.
2 - I have had dinner was way more than 2 antisemitic men, while bribing them with tax dollars so they would stop people from planting IEDs on MSRs i frequented very often. To govern effectively you have too interacted with many echelons of different types of people.

As military members/veterans, especially those who fought overseas in the past 2 decades, we above all should understand the danger of the military industrial complex and the back scratching that goes on between them and politicians. I don't stand for that toxic form of capitalism and either does Trump. He absolutely should run, just because so many in the elitist 1% club have tried to ruin/break/kill him. I can't say I particularly like the guy, but he stands for what I stand for and will actually do something about it.

My decision to vote for whom ever I choose is a right that I served in the ARMY for. It is not up for argument, I do not stand around for hours on end wasting precious seconds of my life that I can "Not Ever Get Back"!!! So, vote for whom ever you feel will make a difference, and I will do the same!!!

I am so late to this party....Well coming from a devil dog who once idolized Trump. I used to travel the 6 miles walk from Whitehall to Fifth Avenue at least once a week. That tells you I am from across the river (Shaolin).
A few things have turned me away from Trump.
1. America is not first to him..
2. He started the build the wall campaign which started the influx of the migrant crisis south of our border.
3. He got the intel on the Covid19 novel virus; he did nothing to stop the spread until 1 million deaths later.
4. He made a deal with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and Israel but left out HAMAS a deal called the Abraham Peace Accord. What we have today in the Middle East is a war between Israel and HAMAS. One can not broker peace between non-enemies and leave out the real enemies.
5. He broker a deal with the Taliban and left out the Democratically elected Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, and refused to do a proper turn over before he left office. What we have is the Taliban in control of Afghanistan.
6. As commander in chief he lied that a sleepy old man stole the election from him and allow a coup d'etat to usurp power.
7. Trump simply lacks wisdom for a commander in chief and president of America.

My point about old ass white men running the country is a fact. It wasn't that lomng ago that women could not vote or get a checking account.Etc. My thought is we need new blood. Younger generations and diverse backgrounds. That includes those who have migrated to the USA for a better life. Educational backgrounds financial status. Generations of the past the older man made all the decisons for those younget than him especially women and minorities. Term limits and age limits for all politicians and judges including the SSSC justices. We are in the 21st century not the 17th or 18th where anything and everything the master of the house says goes. Our country has come a long eay but we still need have more diversity.

Should these recent events disqualify him? Let me answer these one at a time.
1. He took classified documents and stored them in unlocked rooms. Biden took classified documents when he was VICE PRESIDENT OF WHICH HE HAD NO AUTHORITY...kept them in his unsecured garage, his other home, and a vacant office the was previously occupied by a Chinese group...there’s that...you wonder why they have gone ahead with charges on that? Because they know it will destroy Biden and the left as well and open a can of worms that will never get right!
2. He had dinner with two known antisemitic men. The left (Biden/Harris) supports Hamas and Hezbollah and have and continually send funding to them...if that isn't Antisemitic I don't know what is.
3. He is now talking about suspending the Constitution. The left (Biden/Harris) want to restrict free speech by forcing social media to censor what they consider false narratives. They also want to restrict Americans rights to firearms...both of which are directly against the Constitution...so tell me
again who wants to subvert the Constitution?
