Should I go into the Reserves if I don't get accepted to Navy JAG LEP?

Good Day Ladies and Gentlemen,
Next month is my last look for the Navy's Law Education Program. If not selected I plan on starting Law School part time in the evenings this fall, but what would be my best route to come back as JAG? My current tour will take me through July of 2017. Go reserves?
Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you!

Have you looked into the other services JAG Corps? I have a friend who was enlisted Army and got her law degree. Army JAG Corps wouldn't take her but Air Force did.

Thanks for the response. I have been working through the Navy side for LEP, but will look into that if I am not selected this year.

Not sure. What you did. But I did. I left active duty in 2015, and went to reserves so I could do full time law school for 3 years. I wanted a 20 year legal career. Was not able to go active duty jag but was able to switch branches and go NG JAG, while having a civilian legal careers. So it depends on how long a process you want this to be. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

You are in an interesting area. Do you have a clearance? Worst case go reserves and work with one of the government agencies while you go to school. Some of them have educational programs and if you combine the law and other skills you might have along with the clearance you could end up doing well for yourself in a rather specialized part of the law.

Thank you for taking the time to post, sir. I do have a very nice clearance, and was considering doing the same. Possibly Cyber security and a JD.
