Why incur that cost now? Why let it impact your basic? Neither of those seem like good options. If you&#39;re going into the Reserves or NG, I suppose cost drops out of the equation, but timing doesn&#39;t. I&#39;d still wait until after you are done with all of your training. If you can wait, wait until you&#39;re in the military. Then you don&#39;t have to pay for anything. I had all four of mine pulled in 2007 between deployments. I think I got a few days of quarters and then a 10 day profile. <br /><br />It depends on how emergent the issue is or not. Once you are finished &amp; go to your duty station, it is free to have them yanked! That is what I did and had all four out at once. If the recommendation is as a preventive, and you don&#39;t want to pay the copay, the Army will be glad to snatch all four of them out at your first duty station. If the recommendation is because you&#39;re in pain and they are impacted, you should have it done before you leave. I don&#39;t want to spend any more time in TRADOC than necessary, and since I&#39;m still under my parents insurance, the co-pays were low... Then again mine were also impacted and I had been pushing it off for awhile.
