Should I wear my dress blues to a military graduation? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/should-i-wear-my-dress-blues-to-a-military-graduation

My brother decided to join the Marines and will be graduating boot camp in September. Would it be appropriate to wear my Blues to his graduation? I would not wear them to his family day but I figured it would be good for our parents to see us and my sister who is in the Navy in uniform together ( We have one more sibling and I hope she is smart enough to join the Air Force). Wish we had these pinks and greens already though.

Thanks everyone Sat, 13 Jul 2019 17:52:55 -0400 Should I wear my dress blues to a military graduation? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/should-i-wear-my-dress-blues-to-a-military-graduation

My brother decided to join the Marines and will be graduating boot camp in September. Personally, I would wear it. And, you don’t want your sister and the Navy to outshine you. It makes a powerful statement about your brother's ethos and yours. Besides, if you are proud of serving, show it. A military graduation is an emminently appropriate place to be in uniform. Especially if your sister is there, so all three of you can take a pic in uniform. Graduation from initial entry training is an official military function. Dress uniforms would certainly be appropriate IMO. Just make sure you maintain your customs and courtesies as a ton of SNCOs and Officers are sure to be milling about.

Besides, having a picture of three siblings all in uniform together would make for an amazing image! Not only is it appropriate, it is inspirational. if you get a chance, please post a follow up with a picture.
