Yes it should be banned. The military has a public relations and affairs officers for just this sort of thing.

There is already an Army Social Media Policy. Do what your career can stand.

I think it is juvenile, something my 8th grader does. But I am not the target audience.

As long as you don't give any information away and your chain of command is ok with it I dont see a problem.

Here's the thing, if it's down time shouldn't be an issue however that "down time" is double edge sword and could be used for better things like.... A CPL training their Joe's or holding a unit class to refresh the memory of Combat Casualty Care. Phone usage should probably be left to work related issues. The problem your generation seems to face is they barely know their job scope if that because like the rest of the world, it's buried in a phone screen. I'd there's time to make a tictok video, then people around there are not doing their jobs.

Absolutely for a few reasons. 1. Tic toc is owned by the Chinese government and the app allows access to all kinds of information on your phone. 2. SM’s in tic Toc give the military a unprofessional image.

Tic Tok is a cyber threat and one can presume anything posted on it is in the hands of the Chinese and your electronic identity had been compromised

It’s the main reason I will never be verified on RP. Imagine this member database getting compromised and then everything is link diagramed

This really shouldn't be a question considering who runs it and what's going on with it currently. Even if it sells to a US company it still poses a security risk.. as of right now it's a huge problem for security.

Yes, because for one it a Chinese controlled app that is feeding data back to them. The permissions it requests are out of control and the app should be banned nationwide for the risk that it poses.
Not to mention tiktok is idiotic as hell.
