I would have to say, yes. There are plenty of places deemed off limits based upon illegal activity or perception of such.
When I was Active Duty there were several smoke shops in the Hampton Roads, VA area that were banned for Military personnel because they sold Spice/K9 and water pipes.

I understand that there may be exceptions, such as if a dependent had a doctor's prescription for medical marijuana and could not retrieve it themselves, but that would certainly be something that would have to be worked out on a case by case basis.

I know the local "head shop" here is on the off limits roster.

Absolutely ... As long as use of marihuana is prohibited by military members, they should be prohibited from going into places that sell it.

The local Armed Forces Disciplinary Boards (AFDCB) should place them on the "Off-Limits" list that military members are prohibited from entering.

Yes, we put places that sell spice, which is/was legal to sell and use by the gen-pop why should MJ be any different?

Yes.

As long as Marijuana is a Federally Restricted CSA Schedule 1 item, then it is still contrary to federal law.

States may be acting as "test beds" but as Branches of a Federal Department, the military cannot condone Marijuana use, or even be perceived to condone its use by allowing its members to frequent locations that promote the sale of associated items.

Until federal law changes, or THC/CBD items are shifted off CSA Sched. 1, the military must maintain a zero tolerance stance.

Abso-flippin-lutely.... And anyone caught inside these places deemed off-limits should be immediately and heavily disciplined.

Just because it's legal doesn't mean it's right.

Allowing SM's into dispensaries and "head shops" just sends the wrong message. It's just bad business.

And it's a slippery slope. Today SM's are allowed inside and tomorrow they're allowed to use.

Don't get me wrong. I have some pretty open minded views on marijuana legalization. But, this isn't one of them.
