The Corps has been doing a lot with very little for a long time, imagine what it could do with a lot.Should Marine become an MOS in the navy?2014-05-29T16:11:36-04:00LCpl Private RallyPoint Member138170<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>With the budget of both the Navy and the Corps combined, Grunts could have proper gear and rounds to train to a better standard (not saying the standard is low by any means). But the Marines are specifically different than the Navy because they are a ground combat element while the Navy is a sea combat element. Historically Marines and Sailors fought together whether in ship to ship combat or as landing parties but things have evolved since then and it makes sense to at least keep the necessary ground combat elements (infantry, artillery, tanks, etc.) separate in my opinion.Response by SGT James Elphick made May 29 at 2014 4:15 PM2014-05-29T16:15:54-04:002014-05-29T16:15:54-04:00LCpl Private RallyPoint Member2321945<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>lol, hell no. we've been step children since we began. We wouldn't know how to act. We always "make do" we improvise! Taking that away will make us, ..well make us like the Army! Besides it's a slippery slop. We're a Corps, we sit on the JCS, reducing us to an MOS means they might let swabbies into the Corps when they want to change MOS. The Navy flexibility with an MOS would corrupt some Admiral down the line to change things.Response by LCpl Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 8 at 2017 6:59 AM2017-02-08T06:59:16-05:002017-02-08T06:59:16-05:00Sgt Robert Quinn2322732<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>That is assuming that the Marine Corps has only grunts.Response by Sgt Robert Quinn made Feb 8 at 2017 11:08 AM2017-02-08T11:08:33-05:002017-02-08T11:08:33-05:00Sgt Private RallyPoint Member2323485<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Lol the lies we still wouldn't get anymore money from you guysResponse by Sgt Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 8 at 2017 2:48 PM2017-02-08T14:48:39-05:002017-02-08T14:48:39-05:00Sgt Private RallyPoint Member2323508<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Lmao I'm sorry what did you say boot I'm sorry what have you done with your life how many deployments have you been on oh that right nothing and none that what I wanna heear from you while your standing in my fucking formation fucking nothing good to fucking go save your lil fucking comments for your lil fucking boyfriend good to go now as I was before this fucking boot thought they fucking rated to speak in my formation .. No real Marine LCpl could ask this question. Maybe you just phrased it badly. Or April 1st isn't for a month and a half, you're way early. <br />Besides the fact that MARINE is not an MOS , but a separate service for a reason, what would Marine recruits do? Go through Great Lakes and then have to go through PI or SD boot camp anyway to actually become Marines?Response by MSgt George Cater made Feb 14 at 2017 10:53 PM2017-02-14T22:53:09-05:002017-02-14T22:53:09-05:00SFC George Smith2341934<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>the Mission is differentResponse by SFC George Smith made Feb 14 at 2017 11:11 PM2017-02-14T23:11:17-05:002017-02-14T23:11:17-05:002014-05-29T16:11:36-04:00
