Should Marine become an MOS in the navy?

With the budget of both the Navy and the Corps combined, Grunts could have proper gear and rounds to train to a better standard (not saying the standard is low by any means). The Corps has been doing a lot with very little for a long time, imagine what it could do with a lot.

I could see folding many of the support jobs into the Navy, especially those that already exist in the navy. But the Marines are specifically different than the Navy because they are a ground combat element while the Navy is a sea combat element. Historically Marines and Sailors fought together whether in ship to ship combat or as landing parties but things have evolved since then and it makes sense to at least keep the necessary ground combat elements (infantry, artillery, tanks, etc.) separate in my opinion.

lol, hell no. we've been step children since we began.We wouldn't know how to act. We always "make do" we improvise! Taking that away will make us, ..well make us like the Army! Besides it's a slippery slop. We're a Corps, we sit on the JCS, reducing us to an MOS means they might let swabbies into the Corps when they want to change MOS. The Navy flexibility with an MOS would corrupt some Admiral down the line to change things.

NO!!!!!!! The title US Marine is earned. Being a Sailor is earned also but the NAVY is NOT the same as the US MARINES. THE ONLY EXCEPTION IS THE MEDICAL NAVY CORPSMAN.

This is joke, right? No real Marine LCpl could ask this question. Maybe you just phrased it badly. Or April 1st isn't for a month and a half, you're way early.
Besides the fact that MARINE is not an MOS , but a separate service for a reason, what would Marine recruits do? Go through Great Lakes and then have to go through PI or SD boot camp anyway to actually become Marines?
